About Morgantown, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Morgantown, Kentucky is a Butler County city with a population of almost 2,400 individuals according to the United States Census Bureau. Morgantown was incorporated in 1813 and currently serves as the county seat of Butler County. Morgantown was developed after a local landowner, Christopher Funkhouser, donated 60 acres of land in 1811 to establish the city as the new county seat of Butler County.

Individuals visiting Morgantown will find there are many exciting things to see and do around the city. Morgantown is home to the Confederate-Union Veterans’ Monument. The monument is located on the grounds of the Butler County Courthouse and is one of only two in the United States dedicated to the memories of soldiers who fought on both sides of the Civil War. Individuals who are looking to experience the city’s culture should attend the Green River Catfish Festival. The festival is held every year during the first week of July at Charles Black City Park. Residents from all parts of the city gather to participate in carnival rides, games, and other entertainment.

Due to Morgantown’s location in a moderate humid subtropical climate, the city tends to experience warm summers and cold winters. Thermostat readings in the daytime during the months of June, July, and August range from the mid to upper-80s on average. It will be necessary for residents of Morgantown to invest in efficient cooling systems. Residents should have these systems regularly inspected by professional HVAC technicians to ensure they are operating at their highest levels of efficiency. Residents should also invest in heat pumps or furnaces to remain comfortable during the colder months of the year. Record thermostat readings have dipped well below freezing, so residents should prepare for freezing temperatures by installing these heating systems in their homes. An efficient heating system will help ensure residents remain warm and dry in their homes during the cold days of winter.
