About Franklin, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Franklin is a southern Kentucky city that is located in and serves as the county seat of Simpson County. According to the United States Census Bureau, Franklin had a population of about 8,400 residents in 2010. The city was incorporated in 1820 upon a tract of land purchased by William Hudspeth. Franklin was named in honor of Benjamin Franklin. In 1822, the city’s first post office was established.

There are many things to see and do around Franklin. One of the city’s most notable attractions is the Kentucky Downs Race Course. The horse racing track was opened in 1998 and is one of the world’s most famous racing tracks. Another notable attraction of Franklin is the Franklin Drive-In. The drive-in theater features wonderful movies and serves as a place to be taken back in time when drive-in movie theaters were most popular. Individuals visiting Franklin who enjoy golf will want to stop by Kenny Perry's Country Creek Golf Course. The 18-hole golf course was formed in 1995 and welcomes golfers of all ages and skill levels.
