Situated in Logan County, Russellville is a southern Kentucky city located about 22 miles from the Kentucky-Tennessee border. As of 2010, Russellville had a population of almost 7,000 people according to the United States Census Bureau. Russellville was established in 1795 when an individual donated part of his property in order to form a county seat for Logan County. The city was officially established by the Kentucky State Legislature on January 15th, 1810. In 1840, Russellville was incorporated as a city.
